the overspeed was caused by poor wind data, it shifted from a head wind to a tail wind then to a crosswind instantly causing the plane in autopilot to overcompensate and rapidly climb.. I disengaged auto pilot returned it to my cruise level and in doing so passed the overspeed by 2 knots. it was 7 seconds from uncontrolled climb to return to level flight
